Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls Update
Over at Trollhalla and similar places there have been a few updates on dT&T. Some of the new ideas look intriguing, but I will have to wait to see the final product to decide how functional it will all be.
In the latest update Liz stated that we wouldn't be seeing this in time for winter solstice.... I want the final product to be the best that it can be, but we've been waiting about a year and half for this now. The number of times we've played T&T has diminished to just a handful in that time (or so it seems), when we used to play almost weekly (we knew a reboot would be in order and didn't want to start anything too involved until that would happen, but in the meantime interest has waned).
Now I am trying to rekindle my interest in T&T and RPGs in general. I have been reading fantasy novels, watching relevant movies, and even rereading T&T adventures and rulebooks to try to get my brain moving in that direction again. I have set a new gaming schedule to begin in November with some brief adventures to get the creative juices flowing, but I wonder if it will be enough? Have I given too much of my spare time away to other interests and outgrown T&T and gaming?
[I actually surfed the web to find some sort of appropriate image to match my sentiment here; alas, I'm not a twelve-year old girl so I couldn't find anything I could live with decorating this post. My words must suffice.]

DT&T...Not Yet
The latest I have heard about the new edition of T&T being released is around Yuletide. I understand the delays due with completing the project, but I do have to say that it has had an impact on my enthusiasm for the game. We used to play pretty much weekly and then we put the main campaign on hiatus to wait for the new edition for a reboot. We played other mini-campaigns and one-offs but even that has waned over the past summer. I've begun to fill my gaming time with other interests, so now when the new edition finally arrives will I even have the desire and time to play it?

In Remembrance
One of my old books lists 8.20 as an "Egyptian Day." I wonder if that had anything to do with what made him such a tortured soul?

2013 Hall of Fame Inductee
Every year we induct one character into our Tunnels & Trolls Characters Hall of Fame. This year's inductee is Captain Firebeard, a dwarf warrior greatly enhanced by Jason Mills' fun "Something in the Wind" adventure, played by Alwyn. (This adventure is available at The Vital Spot.)
[To be posted later, a complete list of Hall of Fame members.]

Grimslade Flamewalker
Just a quick post...27 years ago today I rolled up what has become the longest surviving and most powerful character ever created in our T&T campaigns: Grimslade Flamewalker, a Navivian Elf.
